8 years as COMMERCIAL BUILDING INSPECTOR: Mr. Thrall has conducted Property Condition Assessments and Capital Reserve Evaluations of hundreds of commercial buildings ranging from 1,200 to 270,000 square feet, including medical buildings, educational buildings, industrial & heavy manufacturing buildings, retail buildings and office buildings. In addition, he has advised clients in the construction of commercial buildings from 700 to 400,000 square feet.
8 years as ASSET MANAGER: Mr. Thrall handled retail, office & industrial lease transactions of up to $85,000,000 in value, such as Maxtor Corporation (450,000 SF office and R & D). In addition, he directed a facilities crew maintaining a portfolio of 42 buildings (1,700,000 square feet) of manufacturing & office space.
4 years as DEVELOPER: Mr. Thrall managed the construction of projects such as One Bethesda Center (12-story 340,000 SF urban mixed-use center).
15 years as CONTRACTOR: Mr. Thrall managed the construction of projects such as Kettering Jr. High School (135,000 SF) and Landover Industrial Center (225,000 SF).
Fred Thrall has applicable education:
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from George Mason University
- BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
- Training in environmental inspections from Stewart Environmental, Inc.
- Training in commercial inspections from Inspection Training Associates
- Study in roofing, mold inspection, and the International Building Code
- Accreditation as a LEED 2.0 Green Building Professional by the US Green Building Council.
